We visited the Jewish Museum. A really worthwhile experience, very well presented. The building really shows the power of architecture to evoke feelings: the void in the tower, and instability in the Garden of Exile.

📸 zoo day, and first bus trip for the boy! We had fun watching the crowds on their way to Taylor Swift, plus seeing this lovely blue frog.

New marathon pb: 4:31:07 - I had far fewer long runs to train this year. I think this helped, as I was much stricter with keeping to pace in the first 10km, rather than being swept along by the crowd. Legs cramped up in the last two km, but overall it was an enjoyable race.

A hot and sunny day for ParkRun with the boy

Was out in Holyrood Park last night to see the Northern Lights. Pinks and patterns to the naked eye, and long exposures picked up a lot more greens too. What a treat!

30km training run on the roads and tracks around Kirkcudbright. Lots of bluebells out.

Making a habit of ParkRun with the boy. Beautiful sun today. Extended with a jog around the Meadows.

Tried out the new Mara’s Picklery in Marchmont. Cheese toastie with chili jam, sweet potato toastie, and a blood orange and anchovy salad. Service was a bit slow, but food was great! Worth a look.
