Morning 6km run around St Albans. Jogged through the market, around the cathedral and down to Verulamium Park.

We are off on a road trip down south, Edinburgh to St Alban’s over two days, weekend there for a family memorial, and then back over Monday-Tuesday. Premier Inn Harrogate last night.

Went to see Will MacAskill speak up at the University on Effective Altrusim and his book What We Owe the future. Worth reading and reflecting on.

Jack just did a commando crawl. We have forward motion!

Trying out Alby’s, the new sandwich shop on Buccleuch St. One choice of each meat, veg and vegan. Fries and salads as sides. Flavourful!

Good read for our NZ trip, finished on the plane home. Interesting on the development and transfer of sovereignty, incentives and phases in colonisation, and interaction between Maori and Pakeha.

Arrived in Melbourne to spend a week catching up with friends and eating our way through the local bakeries and coffee stops. Lunch out at Florian for sandwiches, cake and coffee. 📸

Morning 6km run in Wellington. I’m not fit enough for the hills!

A lovely visit to Zealandia today, well worth a visit if you like birds and find yourself in Wellington. It’s a valley in the city that has been fenced to be predator-free, so native species are supported in a managed habitat. Lots of Kaka parrots, tui, fantails and two Takahe.
