We took a wee wander in South Queensferry today. Called in at the community bookshop (no prices, just a donation) and the bakery. Jack saw his first train (irl) which was very exciting. A little bit of drama when another one didn’t immediately appear!

Yesterday I made the mistake of saying “the wee guy seems to be sleeping well recently”

Back to work after a relaxing weekend. Lunch at The Black Ivy on Saturday, and a walk along the Hermitage of Braid with the boy in a backpack yesterday.

We went up to the National Portrait Gallery today, saw some portraits and photographs of Gladstone and other Victorians.

It’s great how I can be reading a words and pictures book with our boy - “can you see the mouse?” - and then I can pull up videos on YouTube of mice for him. The whole world instantly to see. A long way from the encyclopedia we had as kids!

Just pushed up a trailer for the next EdinburghJS JavaScript meetup on Tues 20th. Should be a fun event!
