Watched the fireworks over the castle tonight from Bruntsfield Links. Lovely!

21km run to Cramond and back, in around 1hr 55m. Training for the Glasgow half at the end of September. If you are doing it too then let me know!

Went to an Edinburgh Book Fest event to hear Bruno Maçães speak about his book “Dawn of Eurasia” - very interesting! The book is a good mix of travel and political/future imagination - worth a read for a new perspective.

Loved yesterday’s flying visit to the Thyssen museum so much I decided to do it again properly today. Well worth it - got an audio guide and learnt a lot. Really well structured. If you like paintings and are in Madrid then check it out - free on Monday’s from 2-4pm! 🇪🇸 Now back to the summer heat for the trip to the airport ✈️

Morning run in El Retiro. Golden sunshine and the moon was still out. 🌑☀️

Lovely visit to the Thyssen-Bornemisza Gallery. Well worth a trip. A great collection from 13th century to the present day. Loved the old religious paintings in gold - such vibrant colours! Impressionists through to more modern painters like Hopper. Any day that has Van Gogh is a good day. 🙌🇪🇸😀✌️

Sunrise 3km run around the center of Salamanca. Up and off to Madrid on the train today for an afternoon of either exploring or napping. ✌️🇪🇸

Said goodbye to @laurakane @p and Neil today, then spent a chilled afternoon wandering around the Cathedral and town. Went up the bell tower in the late afternoon for a nice view over the city. ☀️🇪🇸

Lovely afternoon exploring the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam, with a wee lie down in the park too. Rembrandt, Vermeer, Lautrec, Monet and Van Gogh all make for a good day. ☀️

Lovely 10km run up and over Blackford Hill, with a great view over the Craggs and Arthur’s Seat. Hope this weather continues! ☀️
