Left Lilydale this morning and drove over to the North East. Stopped at the “Blue Tier Big Tree” walk…and saw the big tree. 🌳 Bit of a worrying drive with the camper down a single track gravel road. Spoke to some local people who said they were trying to get the area turned into a nature reserve. Big trees deserve better.

Lovely last day in the blue mountains. Visited Katoomba and then took a walk down the tracks at Wentworth Falls. Nice to spend some time with the family, do some walking and running.

Back to Sydney tomorrow, then a flight on to Tassie for a solo trip for a week. 🇦🇺

Went for a walk down by the creek yesterday and stumbled across this wee guy - an echidna burrowing for ants. Lovely!

We went over to Kanangra National Park yesterday, to the Walls Lookout and Waterfall. We had the place to ourselves, so took some time to play with my ND filter for the camera. Managed to get this pic of the waterfall with the fallen trees. Lovely light reflections on the wood. Really pleased! 🙌

Arrived in Sydney after a full day and night of travel. Headed to Bondi for breakfast and caught the Sculptures by the Sea expo again. Beautiful weather for a walk along the coast. ☀️ #australia

Learning how to sketch this week. Bought a few books, watched a few videos, but figure I should share and commit to doing a sketch a day.

Weekend reading. Lots of interesting stuff in here - ways to think about the economy going forward, with the rise of intangibles. Probably important with Brexit and the rise of China as a new arbiter of IP law.

A wee day at the races, where I had no idea what was going on. 🏇🎠🐎🐴

This was pretty good. Realised that I didn’t know a lot about Russian history, and given all that’s going on with Ukraine I wanted to know more. This covers a great amount - highlights the importance of language, culture and historical narrative for forming nations out of different peoples. Worth a look for my political friends.

Walked up to Torrs Point past Kirkcudbright on the bay - fresh and less rain than yesterday!
